Magnolia, Ark. – The No. 6 Missouri Southern softball team faced the No. 3 Augustana University (SD) Vikings in the NCAA D-II Central Region Tournament. The score remained tied through five complete innings. The Lions broke the deadlock with the game's first run, but the Vikings quickly answered in the bottom half of the inning. The game ended in the 10th, with Augustana coming away with the 2-1 win.

In the sixth inning, Southern broke the deadlock.
Emma Mason singled to right center and was replaced by pinch-runner
Peyton Hawkins.
Kylee Jacks reached on a throwing error, which allowed Hawkins to score an unearned run, putting the Lions ahead 1–0.
The Vikings responded in the bottom of the sixth to even the score, 1-1.
The game remained tied until the bottom of the tenth inning and ended in a 2–1 victory for the Vikings.
Kylee Jacks had two hits out of four at-bats while playing center field.
Taylor Nuckolls, as the shortstop, contributed significantly to the defense with six assists and also stole one base.
Emma Mason also contributed to the team's efforts with a hit and four second-base putouts. The Lions tallied four hits.
Kiki Pickens pitched 7.0 innings and struck out three batters.
Avery Tallman came in as a reliever, pitching 2.2 innings and striking out one without issuing any walks.
