Hallie Blackney and her staff announced Thursday the signing of four transfers ahead of the 2027 season.
Victoria Brazil,
Faith Williams,
Liliana King and
Abbie Walden will all join MSSU in the fall in preparation for the 2027 campaign.
With the addition of these four transfers, the Lions' 2027 roster will now feature 10 newcomers including freshmen
Samantha Riley,
Samantha Hyde,
Ava Wolf,
Sage Hensley,
Dionne Owens and
Allie Tovar who all signed on signing day in November 2025.
Victoria Brazil
5-11 | Infielder | R-So. | Oklahoma Christian University | Edmond North HS | Edmond, Okla.
Victoria Brazil, a 5-11 first baseman from Edmond, Oklahoma, transfers to Missouri Southern after playing two seasons at Oklahoma Christian University. She competed in 56 total games with the Eagles and owns a .291 career batting average.
Brazil helped Oklahoma Christian compete in back-to-back postseasons, appearing in the Regionals in 2025 and the Super Regionals in 2026. She most recently hit .333 (.500 OB%, .571 SLG%) over 10 games (eight starts) over her sophomore season in 2026.
She delivered an impressive performance as a true freshman at Oklahoma Christian in 2025, batting .283 (.393 OB%, .434 SLG%) over 113 at-bats with a team-leading four homers and 23 RBI. She played in 46 games with 42 starts and maintained a .978 fielding percentage (second on team).
Brazil paced the Eagles with six multi-RBI games and was third on Oklahoma Christian with 17 walks. She recorded a season-high three hits with four RBI in a 7-1 victory over Western New Mexico on Feb. 28, 2025.
Academically, Brazil was listed on the Lone Star Conference Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll.
At Edmond North High School, Brazil was named a 2022 All-District 6A-2 Honorable Mention, a 2023 all-conference honorable mention, and a member of the 2023 All-Region 13 team. Besides softball, she also played basketball for the Huskies.
Faith Williams
5-6 | Infielder | Jr. | Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa | Kiefer HS | Sapulpa, Okla.
Faith Williams, a 5-6 shortstop from Sapulpa, Oklahoma, transfers to Missouri Southern from Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa, where she had an impressive tenure.
During her two seasons at Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa, Williams achieved a batting average of .374, along with an on-base percentage of .421 and slugging percentage of .631.
She accumulated 140 hits, 20 home runs, 106 runs, and 83 RBI over her freshman and sophomore years. Her excellence on the field earned her a place on the first team all-Conference as a freshman (.425 batting average), and she was recognized as the 2026 NJCAA Region 2 Week 1 Player of the Week.
In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Williams maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA at NOC Tonkawa.
At Kiefer High School, Williams was a three-time all-conference selection in basketball and a four-time all-conference selection in softball, earning 3A-5 Offensive Player of the Year over her junior campaign. Her Kiefer HS Trojan softball teams were Regional and Super Regional Champions and qualified for the state tournament in her junior and senior years. Additionally, Williams' high school basketball team was a state qualifier during her junior season.
Liliana King
5-6 | Infielder | So. | McLennan Community College | Clear Brook HS | Friendswood, Texas
Liliana King, a 5-6 infielder from Friendswood, Texas, transfers to Missouri Southern after spending her freshman campaign at McLennan Community College, where she demonstrated her skills on the field.
During her tenure at McLennan CC, King played in 45 games, recording a .333 batting average (.374 OB%, .492 SLG%) with three home runs, seven doubles and 27 RBI. She also scored 33 runs and tallied 14 stolen bases.
She helped the Highlanders to a 43-16 mark and an appearance in the 2026 NJCAA DI Softball World Series.
Prior to her college career, King attended Clear Brook High School, where she competed in softball, volleyball, and basketball.
Abbie Walden
5-7 | Utility | So. | Colorado Christian University | Olathe North HS | Overland Park, Kan.
Abbie Walden, a versatile utility player, transfers to Missouri Southern after competing her freshman season at Colorado Christian University.
During her time at Colorado Christian, Walden played in 38 games, making 25 starts in 2026. She recorded a .283 batting average and a .696 on-base plus slugging percentage (.356 OB%, .340 SLG%). In 53 at-bats, she scored 23 runs, had 15 hits, including three doubles, contributed seven RBI and successfully stole 10 bases.
Walden's career highlights at Olathe North High School include a .474 batting average on 129 hits and 58 stolen bases. She was recognized as a 2024 First Team All-State athlete and was a key player in her team winning the 2024 Sunflower League Championship.
Additionally, she earned 2024 First Team Sunflower League honors, and 2025 Second Team All Sunflower League, Second Team All-State and All-Olathe Second Team. Walden was also a MOKAN Offensive Player of the Year Finalist, and holds single-season records for both hits and stolen bases at Olathe North HS.
