LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Missouri Southern softball finished with the second-highest GPA in NCAA Division II as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) revealed Wednesday its Easton Top 10 GPAs for collegiate teams for the 2025-26 academic year. Twelve Lions were also awarded 2025-26 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors.
 
As a team, Missouri Southern registered a 3.813 GPA which ranked second overall in NCAA Division II softball following Lincoln Memorial University (team GPA of 3.853).

MSSU registered a program-best record of 54-10 and finished the season ranked fifth nationally, capturing the 2026 MIAA Regular-Season, 2026 MIAA Tournament, 2026 NCAA DII Central Regional 1 and 2026 NCAA DII Central Super Regional titles.

The Lions also saw success off the softball diamond, registering a 3.87 over the Spring 2026 semester with ten 4.0 GPAs. The Missouri Southern softball team also completed over 342 hours of community service to lead MSSU Athletics over the 2025-26 academic year.

Across NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA and Junior Colleges, the Lions boasted the 11th highest GPA for the 2025-26 academic year.
 
Ashlyn Hulett, Bailey Dillon, Cady Dickey, Carsen Tinkler, Daniela Gutierrez, Easton Walter, Emily Perry, Emma Mason, Grace McNulty, Katie Gray, Maddie Rolfs and Taylor Nuckolls earned All-America Scholar-Athlete distinction for MSSU.
 
To be eligible for Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors, a student-athlete must achieve a 3.5 or better cumulative GPA for the 2025-26 academic year only.
 
In total, 8,852 collegiate student-athletes captured Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2025-26 academic year.

The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. NCAA Division I led the way with 2,637 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2025-26. NCAA Division III followed with 2,491 and NCAA Division II with 1,869. Junior colleges and NAIA came in with 1,190 and 655 student-athletes respectively.
