Prior to Southern
Gray prepped at Lansing High School and was a three-year letter winner under coach Jackie Sells, as an infielder. As a freshman, she was an All-Conference selection and earned All-Conference Second-Team honors as a junior. Gray was also a member of the powerlifting team, finishing second in the state as a freshman and winning the state title as a junior.
