Prior to Southern
Hawkins was a four-year letter winner at Webb City High School, where she played as an infielder under coach Shauna Friend. During her career, she earned All-Conference First-Team honors twice, All-Conference Second-Team honors once, and was named All-District First-Team three times. She also received All-Region honors twice and was named All-State First-Team once. Hawkins helped lead the Cardinals to three district championships and a Class 4 runner-up finish in 2020. Off the field, she was a three-time Academic All-State honoree. Additionally, she played as a guard for the Cardinals' basketball team, under coach Lance Robbins.
