Topeka, Kan. – The Missouri Southern baseball team traveled to take on the Washburn University Ichabods in game three. The Lions tallied 10 hits, highlighted by a three-run homer from
Will Doherty late in the game to seize the lead. However, Washburn rallied in the final innings to reclaim the lead and secure a 9-7 victory.

The Ichabods took an early lead in the first inning with a two-run homer.
Will Potter's single through the left side drove in Nate Mieszkowski. A sacrifice fly by Drew Townsend brought Treghan Parker home, pushing the score to 4-2 after four innings.
The sixth inning marked a significant turning point for the Lions. Capitalizing on multiple wild pitches, Will Potter scored, followed by Drew Townsend. Will Doherty bombed a three-run homer, bringing Ethan Clark and Jacob Filip across the plate, putting the Lions ahead with a score of 7-4.
In the eighth inning, the Ichabods responded to reclaim a 9-7 lead and held it for the win.
Will Doherty went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and hitting a home run.
Jacob Filip registered one hit, scoring a run, and drawing two walks.
Nate Mieszkowski scored a run, securing a hit, a stolen base, and drawing a walk.
Will Potter made his presence known with four assists in the field, alongside a hit and an RBI.
Keaton Anderson pitched 6.0 innings, striking out four and facing.
Trent Harris contributed by pitching 0.1 of an innings without allowing a hit.
Kyle Kaempf pitched 1.0 inning and struck out two.
Walker Sweet pitched 0.1 and
Caden Carter finished the game with 0.1 innings.
