Joplin, Mo. - The Missouri Southern baseball team hosted the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith Lions in a conference matchup. Southern jumped out to an early lead, but Arkansas-Fort Smith quickly regained control. Southern home runs in the ninth inning tied the game, leading to a thrilling finish in the 10th inning, 11-8.

In the first inning, Southern took an early lead with
Drew Townsend drawing a walk and scoring on
Ethan Clark's double to center field, putting them ahead 1-0.
