Joplin, Mo. - The Missouri Southern baseball team hosted the Drury University Panthers in a nonconference matchup. The Lions took an early lead, but Drury reclaimed the lead and held on for a 7-4 victory.

In the second inning, Missouri Southern took an early lead with a solo home run by Treghan Parker, giving them a 1-0 advantage. The momentum continued as Brayden Luikart's single brought home Drew Townsend, extending their lead to 2-0.
 
The Panthers got on the board in the fourth inning, tying the game at 2-2.
 
During the sixth inning, Drury extended their lead to 6-2.
 
Cy Darnell hit a two-run homer, narrowing the gap to 7-4 in the ninth inning. The Panthers held their advantage for a 7-4 win.
 
Drew Townsend had two hits, including a double and a run scored. Nate Mieszkows collected two hits, a walk, and a hit-by-pitch while scoring a run. Cy Darnell hit a home run and drove in two runs. Treghan Parker delivered two hits: a home run and notching an RBI.
 
Owen Schneider pitched 5.0 innings while striking out four and facing 19 batters. Michael Moore pitched 0.1 innings and faced five batters. Walker Sweet provided 1.1 innings of relief, with no runs allowed. Trent Harris, Brandon Overman, Kyle Moore, Caden Carter, and Kaylor Darnell entered the game.
