Missouri Southern vs. Truman State - Game One
W, 12-4 /5 inn.

The Bulldogs jumped out in the top of the first with a run, but the Lions were quick to return. The Lions scored three runs in the bottom half of the first off an RBI single from Taylor Nuckolls and a two-RBI single from Hannah Duin. The Lions added to their lead in the bottom of second with three more runs off sacrifice fly from Taylor Nuckolls, an error and a passed ball to take a 6-1 lead. The Bulldogs added three runs of their own in the top of the third to narrow their deficit to 6-4, but again the Lions had an answer. The Lions added five runs in the bottom of the third off a Kara Amos homerun, a bases full hit-by-pitch RBI for Kylee Jacks, a sacrifice fly from Yazmin Vargas and a two-RBI double from Taylor Nuckolls. An unanswered homerun from Abby DeSanto in the fourth inning was enough to put the Bulldogs away in five innings, 12-4

Kara Amos (2-1) picked up the win for the Lions and pitched 1.1 innings and gave up only three hits and three earned runs while striking out two of the seven batters she faced.

Missouri Southern vs. Truman State - Game Two
W, 12-1 /5 inn.

The Lions took the same energy they had in the first game into the second. The Lions were first on the board with four runs in the bottom of the first off an RBI single from Yazmin Vargas, a wild pitch with bases loaded, and back-to-back RBI triples from Kara Amos and Carsen Tinkler. The Lions held their foot on the gas and added another four runs in the second from a sacrifice fly from Abby DeSanto, a two-RBI single from Kara Amos and a bases loaded hit-by-pitch RBI from Adrianna Young. The Lions defense held the Bulldogs to only nine batters in the first three innings as they continued their pattern of adding four runs into the third with a Kara Amos RBI single, a two-RBI triple from Carsen Tinkler and a Reese Davis RBI single. Despite the Bulldogs adding one run in the fourth, two more Lion runs on wild throws was enough to defeat the Bulldogs once again in five innings, 14-1.

Avery Tallman (5-0) picked up the win for the Lions and pitched all 5.0 innings and gave up three hits and one earned runs while striking out three of the 16 batters that she faced.
