Prior To Southern
Pickens prepped at Beebe High School under coach Sara Flenor. During her career as a Badger, she was a two-time All-Conference and All-State selection and named to the All-State Tournament team twice. She finished her career with a .516 batting average, 12 home runs, 31 RBIs, 22 runs, 20 walks, a .664 on-base percentage, and a 1.203 slugging percentage. In the circle, Pickens pitched 76.1 innings with a 1.74 ERA and 118 strikeouts, while limiting opponents to a .166 batting average.

Kiera, the daughter of Jennifer and Bennie Pickens, is pursuing a degree in Kinesiology at Southern.
