Prior To Southern
Riley prepped at Prosper Richland High School under coach Alexis Cantu, where she was a four-year softball letterwinner. A pitcher and first baseman, Riley finished her career with a .395 batting average, 164 hits, 34 home runs, 42 doubles, 170 RBI, and 307 strikeouts in the circle. She was named District Newcomer of the Year in 2023, District Offensive Player of the Year in 2025, District MVP in 2026, and earned multiple All-District and All-Area selections throughout her career. Riley was named to both the First Team All-Area and All-State as a pitcher over her senior campaign. She helped lead her team to three district championships, two state tournament appearances, including a state runner-up and third-place finish. She was a three-time team Offensive MVP and led the Raiders in homers each season. Academically, she earned Academic All-District honors all four years.

Samantha, the daughter of Chris and Sara Riley, is pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice at Southern.
