Edmond, Okla. -- The Missouri Southern men's golf team finished in 14th today after the final round of the UCO Broncho Stampede held at Rose Creek Golf Club hosted by the University of Central Oklahoma.
Southern was paced by
Tristan Haltom as he shot a final-round 77 to finish at 234 and tied for 48th.
Connor Neil finished with a 237, while
Logan Greer was at 256.
Taylor Haltom shot a 250 and
Adam Vining carded a 253.
Missouri Western was the leader from start-to-finish as the Griffons finished one-over as a team, 14 strokes in front of second place Central Missouri. Lindenwood and Central Oklahoma tied for third, followed by Washburn, Nebraska-Kearney, Southern Nazarene, Central Oklahoma's b team, Murray State and Fort Hays to round out the top ten. Northeastern State was 11th, followed by Southwest Baptist, Lincoln and the Lions.
Southern will be back in action next week as the Lions will take part in the 2018 MIAA Golf Championships. The event will be held next Monday through Wednesday at Sycamore Ridge Golf Club in Spring Hill, Kan.
