St. Charles, Mo. - The Missouri Southern Women's Basketball team looks to make it 10 in a row against the Lindenwood University Lady Lions Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in Hyland Arena.

This is just the tenth meeting in the battle between the Lions and Lady Lions as Southern holds a 9-0 advantage over Lindenwood. Tony Francis is entering his seventh season as the head coach of the Lindenwood women's basketball program in 2016-17. Francis turned the women's basketball program around in his first season, and then led the program through its transition to the NCAA Division II level. The Lindenwood women's basketball team dropped the MIAA-opener 95-80 to No. 4 Pittsburg State on Thursday night in Hyland Arena.

Gabby Walker scored 15 points with five rebounds on 6-of-9 shooting. The Lady Lions out rebounded the Gorillas 35-28, but Pittsburg State scored 25 points off of 19 Lindenwood turnovers. Pittsburg State shot 54 percent from the field while Lindenwood shot just under 50 percent with a 49.2 field goal percentage.
