Topeka, Kan. -- The Missouri Southern volleyball team fell three sets to none at 18th ranked Washburn tonight in MIAA volleyball action. Individual set scores were 13-25, 6-25 and 13-25.
Southern (3-14, 0-4 MIAA) was led offensively by
Sydney Dose with five kills.
Christina Perlinger had four kills, while
Alicia Pickett added three of her own.
Whitney Harrison had 12 assists, while
Kat Gries had 11 digs.
Washburn (12-4, 3-1 MIAA) was led by 12 kills from Leanna Willer. She added 12 digs, while Natalie Bates dished out 24 assists.
The first set featured one tied score and one lead change, but sets two and three were led by Washburn from start to finish.
The Lions will be back in action on October 4 as Southern travels to Southwest Baptist. First serve from the Meyer Sports Center is slated for 7 pm.
