Warrensburg, Mo. -- The Missouri Southern men's track and field team picked up one individual title in day two of the 2015 MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Darion Boure won the triple jump, and for the second-straight week, improved on his own school record in the event. He leaped to a distance of 50-04.50 and that mark improves on his national mark, but keeps him fourth nationally. He also earned All-MIAA honors for the performance.
In other action, Jeff Fraley qualified No. 1 in both the 60m and 200m, while also qualifying No. 3 in the 400m. Fraley ran to a time of 6.73 in the 60m, but bested his own school record in the 200m, running a time of 21.53.
In other action, Sam Kohrs qualified for the finals of the 600 yard, while Eric Schott placed fourth in the 5k with a time of 15:01.02. The distance medley relay team of Tom Zeilman, Thomas Hawkins, Miles Migliara and Andrew Webster placed fourth.
Jayce Thomas was 8th in high jump, while Bryan Burns and Tyler Hovey picked up points in the shot put, placing fifth and eighth, respectively.
After two days, the Lions sit in third place with 32 points. Pittsburg State is in first with 59 points, while Central Missouri has 34 points and is in second place. Nebraska-Kearney (27) is in fourth, followed by Northwest Missouri (26), Fort Hays (26), Emporia State (22), Lincoln (5) Lindenwood (5) and Southwest Baptist (2) round out the team scores.
The Lions will conclude the meet tomorrow with field events beginning at 10 am.
