Men's Cross Country wins Jackling Jocks Invite

Rolla, Mo. -- The ninth ranked Missouri Southern men's cross country team placed six runners in the top 13 today and took home the title in the Jackling Jocks Invite hosted by Missouri S&T in Rolla. 

The Lions were led by Andrew Webster and Adrian Todd as the pair finished back-to-back in fourth and fifth place, respectively. Webster ran the 8k course in a time of 25:35.14, while Todd finished in a time of 25:36.95. 

Ryan Jackson and Colton Wooldridge placed ninth and tenth, whiel Nathan Henry and William Rush placed 12th and 13th, respectively. Jacob Hoffman finished 46th, while Drake Smelser placed 60th. 

The Lions finished with 40 points, 15 in front of second place Southwest Baptist. Missouri S&T was third, followed by Drury, Lindenwood, Webster University and William Jewell to round out the team scores. 

The Lions will be back in action on Oct. 26, when they travel to Pittsburg, Kan. to take part in the 2013 MIAA Cross Country Championships.
