Before Southern- Played at Independence CC.While at Independence, he earned First Team All-Conference honorsat second base as a freshman after hitting .363 and led the team inbatting average with Runners in Scoring Position (RISP) at .500. Asa sophomore, earned his second straight All-Conference nod atsecond base after ranking fourth in the Jayhawk League with a .408average. Set an Independence CC record for hits in a season (84)and finished with 32 RBI out of the leadoff spot. Also led theJayhawk league in runs scored (56), was third in doubles (18) andwas sixth in stolen bases (25).

In High School- Played at Owasso HS under CoachTurner at second base. While Pironti was at Owasso, the Rams werestate runners-up in his freshman, sophomore, and junior seasons.And were ranked #1 in the Nation by USA Today in his senior season.
