As a junior: Did a little bit of everything forthe Lions in 2009. Led the team with a .381 batting average. Alsoshowed pop in the bat with seven homers and 39 RBI and finishedsecond on the team with 15 doubles. Zach finished first on the teamwith 31 stolen bases as well. Was recognized by the conference atthe end of the season with a Second Team All-MIAA nod.

In junior college: Earned first-teamall-conference and all-region during his two seasons at Fort ScottCC ... set school-record with 46 stolen bases.

In high school: Set the Colgan HS single-seasonrecords in batting average, stolen bases, runs and on-basepercentage ... helped Colgan to three straight championships as acentefielder ... was named first-team all-conference in each of the2004, 05 and 06 seasons and first-team all-state as a senior ...also was a three-time all-conference selection in football, wherehe helped Colgan to a pair of state titles as a defensive back andrunning back ... earned four letters and was an first-teamall-state selection as a defensive back and an honorable-mentionpick at running back.
