Prior to Southern: Salecich transfers to Southern after two seasons at Division I Saint Louis University ... as a freshman at SLU, Salecich appeared in all 36 games and started 31 times ... he averaged 6.4 ppg and 2.3 rpg with 64 assists and 23 steals, while averaging 28.3 minutes per game ... as a sophomore, Salecich played in 31 games, starting four, while averaging 14.4 minutes per game ... he scored 2.3 points per game and pulled down 1.1 boards per contest ... Salecich  prepped at the Australian Institute of Sport ... he averaged 12 ppg while shooting 43 percent from 3-point range and 89 percent from the free-throw line for AIS, the elite academy in Canberra, Australia ... he played on the 2009 Australia U-19 National team at the FIBA World U-19 Championships in New Zealand, helping the team finish pool play undefeated and reaching the bronze-medal game ... he ended the U-19 tournament with 38 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists and six steals while shooting 40.9 percent from 3-point range.
