2022 - Palmiei appeared in six games for the Lions as a defensive specialist ... Finished the season with 12 sets played, 12 digs, one assist, one attack for per sets average of 1.0 digs and 0.08 assists.

Prior to Southern - Palmieri comes to the Lions from McCook CC and was a teammate of fellow signee Amerika Jones. Palmieri played two seasons for McCook where she was a team captain. As a sophomore, Palmeiri saw action in 32 matches with 295 digs for a 2.76 digs per set average, while posting 17 service aces on the season.
 
Prior to McCook, Palmieri prepped at Gibbon (Neb.) High School where she was a member of the volleyball, basketball and track and field teams. She was named to the 2019 Louplatte all-conference team and was a 2018 honorable mention. During her senior season she played in 69 sets and had 248 assists and 214 digs. In her four years of varsity competition she played in 278 sets and had 551 assists, 85 service aces, 569 digs, 318 kills and 88 total blocks. Palmieri is also a three-time all-Louplatte Conference athlete for the Buffaloes in track where she has been named all-conference in three events; 800 meter in 2017; the 3200 meter relay in 2018, and the long jump in 2019.
 
Personal - The daughter of Tracy and Tony Palmieri, Kaylee plans to major in physical therapy at Southern.
