Prior to Southern - Renteria came to Southern from Columbia College in Columbia, Mo. ... Renteria sat out the 2015-16 season at Southern doing a year in residency ... In the 2014-15 season at Columbia, Renteria competed in nine events in his first year as a Cougar, with seven top ten finishes… Won the mile at the AMC Indoor Championships on Feb. 19^th, clocking in at 4:26.32… was a member of the distance medley relay team that placed first at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge… Placed 4^th in the 10,000 at the Wash U Invite, posting a college best of 31:17.40… Followed that up with a 6^th place finish at the SLU Invite in the 1,500 with a PR of 4:02.43… Was a runner up in the 5,000 (15:52.08) and the 4x8 (7:56.93) at the AMC Outdoor Championships ...
