In2007: Played in nine games including onestart at defensive back … recorded 13 tackles in nine games… also recovered a fumble against Truman.

In2006:  Saw action in five games atdefensive back … Finished the season with three solotackles.

Inhigh school: Talented on the football field and in theclassroom, he was named to both the all-state football andall-state academic teams in 2005 ... nominated for the Willie RaySmith award as the most outstanding football player in southeastTexas ... also selected most valuable offensive player in Class 3ADistrict 22 and helped the Jasper Bulldogs finish second in Class3A last season.
