Prior to Southern
Merancio is a transfer from McCook Community College where she played in 35 matches and finished with 412 kills in 125 sets. She was named to the All-Region IX First-Team last season with the Lady Indians where was the captain and teamate of the year and ranked number 14 nationally in kills. At Lamar High School, Merancio finished with 951 kills and 489 digs where she was a tow-time All-State selection and was lead Lamar to the state championship her senior year.
