JOPLIN, Mo. — Missouri Southern finished fourth at the MSSU Women's Fall Invitational Tuesday at Twin Hills Golf Country Club, finishing the two-round tournament at 48-over par as a team.
Caitlin Metcalfe led the Lions in the final round, carding a 2-over 74 to move into a tie for eighth place at 9-over 153 for the tournament. Metcalfe shot a 40 on the front nine Monday before closing with a 39, then improved with a 36-38 split Tuesday.
Katarina Chynoranska finished 15th at 11-over 155 after carding a 7-over 79 in the final round. She opened the tournament with a 4-over 76.
Maryn Harlow finished tied for 16th at 12-over 156, following her opening-round 77 with a 7-over 79 Tuesday. Avary Eckert finished tied for 22nd at 16-over 160 after rounds of 79 and 81, while Addie Foust tied for 29th at 19-over 163 with rounds of 81 and 82.
Gabrielle Rettinghaus, competing individually, tied Harlow for 16th at 12-over 156 after shooting an 80 in the final round. Ava Henshaw finished tied for 38th at 21-over 165, while Anna Shinabery placed 43rd at 23-over 167.
Missouri Southern finished fourth in the team standings at 48-over par.
