ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Missouri Southern opened play at the NCAA Division II Central Regional on Monday, finishing the opening round in 11th place at St. Joseph Country Club.
Katarina Chynoranska paced the Lions with a solid opening round of 75, finishing the day tied for 7th overall and putting herself inside the top 10 heading into round two.
Caitlin Metcalfe followed with a 78, sitting tied for 22nd after day one. Cierra Tunley posted an 81 to open regional play tied for 45th.
Gabrielle Rettinghaus carded an 85 and sits tied for 79th, while Avary Eckert rounded out the lineup with an 86, tied for 87th.
The Lions will continue play in Round Two on Tuesday as they look to climb the team leaderboard.
