MIAA Announces 2025 Softball Academic Awards

Kansas City, MO -- The MIAA released its Softball academic awards today, with fifteen Missouri Southern Lions earning recognition for their outstanding academic performance during the 2025 academic year. The Lions finished the year with an impressive 13 13 4.0's and an overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.781 for the semester.
 

The full list of Lions named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll includes:

·       Abigal DeSanto

·       Hannah Duin

·       Lauren Fuller

·       Katie Gray

·       Dink Grimes

·       Peyton Hawkins

·       Kylee Jacks

·       Taylor Nuckolls

·       Emily Perry

·       Kiki Pickens

·       Lily Rand

·       Maddie Rolfs

·       Avery Tallman

·       Kate Thurman

·       Carsen Tinkler

To be eligible for the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must hold a GPA of 3.00 or higher, as calculated for NCAA academic certification, and must have completed at least two terms of attendance at their institution, excluding summer terms.
 

Maddie Rolfs and Carsen Tinkler also earned the MIAA Academic Excellence Award, the highest academic honor awarded by the conference, which is reserved for student-athletes who maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA and meet the same certification standards as the other awards.
 

Kylee Jacks and Katie Gray were also recognized as MIAA Scholar-Athletes for their success both on the field and in the classroom. This award honors student-athletes who maintain at least a 3.50 GPA and receive All-MIAA honors during the season.
 

These honors do not include first-year freshmen or first-year transfers. The MIAA will announce its Newcomer Academic Awards for the 2025 academic year in late June.
