MIAA Announces 2025 Men's Outdoor Track & Field Academic Awards

Kansas City, Mo. – The MIAA announced its Men's Outdoor Track & Field academic awards today, recognizing twenty Missouri Southern Lions for their academic achievements during the 2025 academic year.
 

Leading the way were Caleb Manning, Ryan Riddle, and Garrett Strange, each earning both MIAA Academic Honor Roll and the prestigious MIAA Academic Excellence Award honors.
 

The twenty Lions named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll are:

·       Zaben Barnes

·       Roman Borboa

·       Clifton Bridgewater

·       Luke Brumit

·       Kaden Cole

·       Jaden Deaton

·       Ethan Dias

·       Gabe Ford

·       Travis Greenfield

·       Matthew Haddock

·       Caleb Manning

·       Peyton McBride

·       Geordan Patrylak

·       JaDarius Pigg

·       Miguel Solano Jr.

·       Garrett Strange

·       Jackson Wahlgren

·       Tyson Williams

·       Ryan Riddle
 

To earn a place on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher—as calculated for NCAA academic certification—at their institution. Additionally, they must have completed at least two terms of attendance, excluding summer terms, at the certifying member institution.
 

Additionally, Manning, Riddle, and Strange were recognized as MIAA Scholar-Athletes. To qualify, a student-athlete must have a GPA of 3.50 or higher, meet the same attendance requirements, and must also receive All-MIAA honors during the current season.
 

These awards do not include first-year freshmen or first-year transfers. The MIAA will announce its Newcomer Academic Awards for the 2024-25 academic year in late June.
