Tahlequah, Okla. – The Missouri Southern baseball team faced the Northeastern State RiverHawks in a conference matchup. Both teams battled, but the RiverHawks struck first and held the lead to secure the victory.
Missouri Southern (26-23, 18-17 MIAA) | Northeastern State (15-34, 12-23 MIAA)
The score would be deadlocked until the bottom of the fifth inning, when Northeastern State plated two runs, 2-0.
The RiverHawks added two runs and would take a 4-0 win.
Drew Townsend contributed with a hit and a double. Brayden Luikart walked, and the pitch hit Jacob Filip.
Owen Schneider pitched for 4.0 innings and struck out five. Cole Gayman followed, pitching 2.0 innings while striking out two. Laif Hultine pitched the final 2.0 innings with two strikeouts and no walks.
