Lions Conclude Day 3 of MIAA Championships with 2 Titles, 7 All-MIAA Performances, and 12 NCAA Qualifiers

Maryville, MO – The Missouri Southern Indoor Track & Field team competed in the MIAA Indoor Track & Field Championships over the weekend in Maryville, MO, hosted by Northwest Missouri State University. On day three, the Lions claim two MIAA titles, seven All-MIAA performance, and secured 12 NCAA Qualifying Marks. The day was highlighted by Joy Udo-Gabriel's performance in the women's 60m dash, breaking the MSSU school record for the 6th time this season, the MIAA and facility records, and she has now holds the NCAA DII all-time best in the event!

Below is a full list of results from the final day of competition.

Men's 1 Mile
Chase Sorrell receives All-MIAA honors with a 3rd place finish in the men's 1 mile run with a personal best time of 4:10.14.
 
Men's 60m Hurdles – Final
JaDarius Pigg finished 3rd in the men's 60m hurdles final, beating his own MSSU school record and NCAA qualifying time of 7.87 seconds.
 
Women's 60m Hurdles – Final
Aryah Moore placed 4th in the finals of the women's 60m hurdles with a personal best and NCAA Qualifying Time of 8.75 seconds.
 
Women's 60m Dash – Final
Joy Udo-Gabriel shatters the MSSU school record once again this year, taking the MIAA title in the women's 60m dash with an NCAA qualifying time of 7.13 seconds! She now holds the MIAA and facility records and has set the new NCAA DII all-time best in the event!
 
Women's 3000m
Isabella Frost placed 5th in the women's 3000m with a personal best time of 9:54.73, followed by Jenari Lopez in 7th with a personal best time of 9:55.22 and Lilah Genel in 14th with a time of 10:18.18.
 
Men's 3000m
Ryan Riddle placed 3rd in the men's 3000m earning All-MIAA honors with an NCAA Qualifying Time of 8:01.45.
 
Men's 4x400
The men's 4x400 relay team of Matthew Haddock, Miguel Solano Jr., JaDarius Pigg and Sebastian Cooper placed 8th with an NCAA Qualifying Time of 3:16.01.

Men's Shot Pot
Cedric Pearson is the MIAA Champion in the men's shot put taking 1st place with a personal best and NCAA Qualifying Mark of 18.85. Jamale Williams takes 2nd with an NCAA Qualifying Mark of 17.50m.
 
Women's Triple Jump
Lillian Hart takes 8th place in the women's triple jump with a persona best mark of 11.41m.
 
Women's Shot Put
Dailynn VanDeren takes 2nd place in the women's shot put with an NCAA Qualifying Mark of 14.91m, followed by Kirsten Womack in 2nd with a personal best and NCAA Qualifying Mark of 14.85m and Briar Gillum in 4th with an NCAA Qualifying Mark in 14.79m.
 
Men's Triple Jump
Caleb Manning earns All-MIAA honors with a 3rd place finish in the men's triple jump with an NCAA Qualifying Mark of 15.01m, followed closely by Donovyn Fowler in 4th with a personal best and NCAA Qualifying Mark of 14.81m, Peyton McBride in 6th with a mark of 14.40m and Drew Beachler in 7th with a personal best mark of 14.39m.
