St. Joseph, Mo. - The Missouri Southern Women's Basketball team traveled to take on the Missouri Western State University Griffons on Saturday, February 15, in a conference matchup. Missouri Southern battled back from an early deficit, with key contributions from
Grace Frazier,
Reese Webb, and
Mackenzie Hart, cutting the gap to three points in the third quarter, but Missouri Western held on for a 77-67 victory.

The Griffons jumped to an early 6-0 lead, but
Grace Frazier halted their momentum with a deep shot at the 7:16 mark. Moments later,
Reese Webb followed up with a layup, and Frazier added a free throw, cutting the deficit to two points at 8-6 with 5:29 remaining.
Makenna Yokley hit two free throws to tie it at 8-8, with 4:27 on the clock. Missouri Western added two points, but
Ava Pautz's layup cut the deficit to 12-11 with 49 seconds left. The Griffons held a 15-11 lead heading into the second quarter.
Quarter 2: Missouri Southern 24 | Missouri Western 32
Both teams traded baskets to start the second quarter.
Reese Webb hit a three-pointer, and
Grace Frazier added a jumper, cutting the deficit to 23-20. Frazier added four more points, and the Lions trailed 32-24 at halftime.
Quarter 3: Missouri Southern 43 | Missouri Western 54
Kennady Roach and
Grace Frazier combined for four points, cutting the gap to eight points with 7:21 remaining.
Reese Webb drained a jumper to keep it at 42-35, but the Griffons pushed their lead to 12 midway through the quarter, 47-35.
Mackenzie Hart added seven points to chip away at the deficit. Missouri Western held a 54-43 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Quarter 4: Missouri Southern 67 | Missouri Western 77
Reese Webb opened the fourth quarter with a jumper, sparking an 8-1 run fueled by
Grace Frazier,
Kennady Roach, and
Mackenzie Hart to close the score to six points, 55-51, with 6:50 remaining. The battle continued as both teams traded baskets, but Missouri Western held their advantage, securing a 77-67 win.
