Lions Selected Fourth in Preseason MIAA Indoor Track & Field Rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Missouri Southern men's and women's track & field teams were both selected fourth overall in the 2025-26 MIAA indoor preseason rankings, the league announced Thursday.
 
The Lion men received 59 points and a first-place vote for fourth in the preseason poll. The MSSU women totaled 74 points for fourth overall in the rankings.
 
Pittsburg State was selected first across both men's and women's polls in the preseason rankings voted on by the league's head coaches. 
 
The MSSU men and women both finished fourth overall at the 2025 MIAA Indoor Championships held in Maryville, Missouri. 
 
The Lions open their 2025-26 indoor campaign Friday and Saturday at Pittsburg State's Boo Rogers Combined Events and the Crimson & Gold Invitational. Both events will be contested at the Robert W. Plaster Center in Pittsburg, Kansas.
