Indianapolis, Ind. - The participants for the 2024 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships were announced Tuesday afternoon by the NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Track & Field Committee. A total of 18 members of the Missouri Southern track & field teams were selected to compete, 12 from the men's team and 6 from the women's team. As a team, the men are ranked #4 in the latest USTFCCCA National Poll. The MSSU men that qualified (event - current NCAA Division II ranking): Peyton Barton (Discus - 4th, Hammer - 3rd), Connor Boyd (Hammer - 16th), Gabe Ford (Discus - 8th, Shot Put - 6th), Bastien Franck (Pole Vault - 4th), Taris Jackson (Triple Jump - 16th), Caleb Manning (Triple Jump - 14th), Cedric Pearson (Discus - 16th, Shot Put - 7th), JaDarius Pigg (110m Hurdles - 5th, 400m Hurdles - 8th), Malachi Pipkin (110m Hurdles - 7th), Brendan Rozier (Javelin - 8th), Garrett Strange (Javelin - 7th), Jon Watts (Long Jump - 10th).

In the latest USTFCCCA National Poll, the MSSU women's team is currently ranked #12. The MSSU women that qualified (event - current NCAA Division II ranking): Samariae Bonds (Shot Put - 7th), Adrianne Casey (Javelin - 4th), Briar Gillum (Discus - 12th, Hammer - 10th, Shot Put -15th), Keilee Johnson (Javelin - 1st), Mackenzie Mayer (Javelin - 20th), Kirsten Womack (Discus - 6th, Hammer - 27th).

The 2024 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships will take place May 23-25, hosted by Emporia State University. A full schedule of events can be found here.
