Edmond, Okla. - The nine seeded Missouri Southern Softball team (32-21, 12-14 MIAA) will travel to Edmond, Oklahoma for round one of the MIAA Softball Championship to take on the number eight seeded Central Missouri Jennies in a single elimination contest. The Missouri Southern softball program finished their regular season with a 32-21 (12-14 MIAA) record. The Lions wrapped up their regular season at home with two split series against #5 Central Oklahoma (5-3 and 0-6) and Newman (12-0 /5inn. And 5-6). The Lions returned to Joplin after a 1-9 record over a month-long road trip. The Lions previously hosted the Jennies in March where they lost the first game 2-1, but turned around and run-ruled them in game two, 8-0 /6 innings.
Kylee Jacks leads the Lions in batting average with a .376, hits with 64 and runs with 49. The Lions RBI leader is

Previously, the Jennies hosted three straight doubleheaders where they were swept by Maryville (10-17 and 2-4), split with Missouri Western (2-5 and 3-2) and split with Northwest Missouri (1-2 and 5-0).
