Scouting the Lions
The Missouri Southern softball program has a 31-20 (11-13 MIAA) record as they play their season finale. The Lions followed a six-game losing streak with a split series at Missouri Western (5-7 and 7-1) and a couple losses to Northwest Missouri (1-3 and 1-2). Most recently, The Lions hosted #5 Central Oklahoma where they upset the Broncos in game one, 5-3. But fell in game two, 0-6.
Kylee Jacks leads the Lions in batting average with a .366, hits with 60 and runs with 45. The Lions RBI leader is
Taylor Nuckolls with 41. In the circle,

Scouting the JetsÂ
The Jets of Newman University travel to Joplin with a 20-32 (6-18 MIAA) record. The Jets are wrapping up a two week road trip after recently being swept by #9 Pittsburg State (1-6 and 1-3) after splitting with both Nebraska-Kearney (10-2 /5 inn. and 7-11) and Fort Hays State (8-6 and 1-5).
Hayley Bonython leads the Jets in batting average (.371), hits (52), runs (32) and RBIs (39). In the circle, Jackie Gold has thrown the most innings with 127.1 and has a 3.68 ERA and has 91 strikeouts.
