Joplin, Mo. - The Missouri Southern Softball team (30-19, 10-12 MIAA) travels back to Joplin to begin their final homestand against the #5 Bronchos of Central Oklahoma on Wednesday, April 24 at 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM at Pat Lipira Softball Complex.

Scouting the Lions
The Missouri Southern softball program has had a 30-19 (10-12 MIAA) start to their season. After going on a six game losing streak on the road, facing two nationally ranked opponents in #10 Pittsburg State and #23 Washburn, as well as Emporia State, in doubleheaders, the Lions previously split a series with Missouri Western and lost both games to Northwest Missouri to complete a month long road trip.
Taylor Nuckolls leads the Lions in batting average with a .372 and RBIs with 41 total. The Lions hit and run leader is
Kylee Jacks with 54 hits and 44 runs. In the circle,
Kiki Pickens has thrown the most innings with 111.2 and has a 2.01 ERA and has 105 strikeouts.
Scouting the Bronchos
The #5 Bronchos of Central Oklahoma lead the MIAA with a 40-8 (20-2 MIAA) record. The Bronchos were on a eight game win streak before facing their second loss in the MIAA at Fort Hays State in a split series. Most recently, the Bronchos traveled to Nebraska Kearney where they completed yet another doubleheader sweep.
Terin Ritz leads the Bronchos in batting average with a .396 and homeruns with 17. Rylee Lemos is the Bronchos current hit and run leader with 61 hits and 58 runs. In the circle, Terin Ritz has thrown the most innings with 139.0 and has a 1.06 ERA and has 85 strikeouts.
