Lions Currently Second Heading Into Final Day Of MIAA Championship

Kansas City, Mo. - The Missouri Southern Men's Golf team wrapped up day two at the MIAA Men's Conference Championship on Tuesday, April 16. After finishing in third as a team after day one, the Lions shot a 309 (+25) on the day and climbed into second with one round left to play. 

The team success for the Lions was led by the strong individual play from Missouri Southern's Luis Limón who finished the round with a score of 75 (+4). With the 75, Limón ties for third individually with a total score of 147 (+5).

Ben Marckmann, who led the Championship after day one, dropped only to 5th individually after shooting a round of 79 (+8) for day two.

Tradgon McCrae climbed his way up the leaderboard from tying for 21st after day one to tying for 17th after day two with a round score of 77 (+6), which brought his total score to 153 (+11).

Dylan Bagley wrapped up day two with a round score of 78 (+7), which ties him for 23rd individually with a total score of 155 (+13).

Josh Hamnett finished round two with a total score of 157 (+15) after shooting 82 (+11) on the day, which ties him for 30th individually.

The MIAA Men's Conference Championship will conclude with its final round on Wednesday, April 17, at Shoal Creek Golf Course with the first tee time expected for 9:30 AM.
