Pittsburg, Kan. - Nine members of the Missouri Southern track & field teams were selected to compete at the indoor track & field national championships this year. They will be competing this Friday and Saturday at the meet, taking place just up the road in Pittsburg, Kansas.
Peyton Barton will kick things off for MSSU, competing in the men's weight throw at 2:25pm on Friday. Shortly after,
JaDarius Pigg and
Ashyiria Savage will represent the Lions in the 60m Hurdles - Prelims, starting at 2:30pm and 2:45pm.
Jon Watts will compete in the men's long jump, scheduled to start at 4:50pm, and
Mallory Huber will close out MSSU's portion of the day with the women's weight throw at 4:55pm.
Missouri Southern's portion on Saturday starts at 2:30pm with the men's weight throw, as
Cedric Pearson and
Gabe Ford will compete in the event. The men's 60m Hurdles - Finals will start at 5:00pm and the women's 60m Hurdles - Finals is scheduled for 5:10pm.
Taris Jackson and
Peyton McBride will both compete in the men's triple jump, scheduled to begin at 5:35pm.
