Joplin, Mo. – The Missouri Southern soccer program lost 3-0 at Hal Bodon Field this afternoon against Central Oklahoma.
Southern (4-6, 1-2 MIAA) and Central Oklahoma (5-3, 3-1 MIAA) retained nearly the same time of possession in the game with the Bronchos holding a slight edge in both half's and firing off more shots (22-10).
Central Oklahoma got on the board in the 24
th minute from a corner kick that landed in the middle of the box where both teams tried to control the ball before a Broncho forward scored from point-blank range.
Within a minute of play resuming in the second half the Bronchos notched their second goal of the game and scored the third and final goal in the 77
th minute.
Rylie Johnson and
Maya Greenquist each had three shots (1 on goal), as
Riley Laver finished with seven saves and
Laney Graham notched two.
