Denver Johnson has released the first fall depth chart for the MSSU football team.
Highlighting the new faces to the two-deep is transfer quarterback
Dante Vandeven who at the time has been named the starting signal caller for the Lions.
Carson Day returns after an injury kept him out of play last season and
Josiah Bennett, one of the top yards per catch players from 2016 also returns to action on the offensive side of the ball.
Defensively,
Trevor Plafcan and
Chris Williams anchor a deep defensive line for the Lions.
EJ McKenzie is back at linebacker while
Keith Beverly and
Alexander Wade are back to anchor the backfield.
Brock Renken will be the starting place kicker for the fourth-straight season and he will also add punting duties to his portfolio.
