Daniel Hernandez hit another NCAA automatic qualifying mark as he won the Javelin at the John McDonnell Invitational hosted by the University of Arkansas today.
Hernandez out-distanced the competition with a heave of 227-01 to take the event. He led the second-place finisher by nearly 14 feet as he competed against all Division I competition.
In other action,
Bryan Burns finished eighth in the discus with a distance of 147-06, while
Desirea Buerge was third in her shot put competition with a distance of 139-06.
Emily Harris placed ninth in the 1,500 meters in a time of 4:40.49.
The rest of the team will finish up a busy weekend of competition as the Lions are at Missouri S&T tomorrow.
