Joplin, Mo. -- The tenth ranked Missouri Southern baseball team had a pair of four-run innings and the Lions took the series finale with visiting Lindenwood, 15-7 today at Warren Turner Field.

Lindenwood (6-3, 1-2 MIAA) had three hits from Wes Degener and two from Sam Baxter.

The Lions got on board in the first without a hit after Gorski scored on a Bryant double-play. Lindenwood tied it up in the third, but the Lions got two more back in the bottom of the inning on a two-RBI slingle from Sutherland.

After Lindenwood had gone ahead 6-5 in the top of the fifth, Southern answered back with four of its own in the Matt Smith started the inning with an RBI, while Cain had a two-RBI triple. Danny Biggs followed that up with a sacrifice fly, scoring Cain.
