Allendale, Mich. -- Missouri Southern senior distance runner Eric Schott started the 2015 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships with an All-America performance as the Lions competed today on the campus of Grand Valley State University.
Schott closed the night as he raced in the 10k under the lights. He finished the race in a time of 30:18.17 to place seventh and earn All-America status.
In other action, Jeff Fraley qualified third for the finals of the 100m in a time of 10.35. He will race in the finals of that race at 3:35 pm ET on Saturday.
Fraley also ran the anchor leg of the 4x100m relay team that included Erron Holley, Anthony Priceand Jazz Allen. The team qualified 8th in the event with a time of 40.59. They will run in the finals on Saturday at 2:10 pm ET.
The Lions will have three athletes in action tomorrow on day two of the Championships as Darion Boure will start things off with the triple jump at 4:45 pm ET, while Nicklas Polizzi will compete in the discus at 5 pm ET. Fraley will run the prelims of the 200m dash at 5:45 pm ET.
