Birmingham, Ala. -- Missouri Southern senior sprinter Jeff Fraley qualified for the finals of both the 60m and 200m dash in the first day of the 2015 NCAA Division II National Championships held at the Birmingham CrossPlex.

Fraley, who came into the meet ranked in the top five of both events, did not disappoint in the prelims of the events.

Fraley qualified second-fasted in the prelims of the 60m dash. Not only did he qualify, he broke his own school record in the event, turning in a time of 6.68, .03 off of his previous school record. He was 0.05 off of the leader in the event.

Fraley then qualified for the finals of the 200m by running a 21.60 to qualify seventh-fastest. Fraley is one of three MIAA runners to qualify for the finals of the event.

Fraley will be one of four Lions in action on the final day of the championships tomorrow. Darion Boure and Kennan Harrison will compete in the triple jump, while Morgan Hold will compete in the pole vault.
