Rolla, Mo. -- The 16th ranked Missouri Southern men's cross country team took home the team title and Eric Schott kept his winning ways going as the Lions competed at the Jackling Jocks Invitate hosted by Missouri S&T.
Schott remained undefeated in Division II races this year as the senior traversed the 8k course in a time of 24:53.12. The Lions had four of the top five runners and all five scoring athletes in the top ten.
Andrew Webster finished second with a time of 25:00.21, while Tyler Rush was third in a time of 25:06.86. Alex Mason was tenth in a time of 26:16.47, while Colton Wooldridge finished in fifth place in a time of 25:29.66 and Nathan Henry was 18th in a time of 26:41.66.
Ben Southwick finished 21st, while Drake Smelser was 25th and Jacob Coffman placed 33rd. Gabe Lodge placed 45th.
Southern scored 20 points, 37 in front of second-place Pittsburg State. Missouri S&T placed third, while Southwest Baptist, Drury and William Jewell round out the team scores.
