Lions' Cross Finishes Second to D-I Razorbacks

Fayetteville, Ark. -- The Missouri Southern Men's cross country team finished second at the Arkansas Cross Country Invitational Friday in Fayetteville, Ark.  The 6.6K race was held at the Argi Park in Fayetteville.

The Lions finished with 50 points and got a team best time of 21:05.6 from sophomore Jake Benton, who edged out freshman teammate Eric Schott, 21:05.7, for eight place.  Freshman Trey Berry, 21:25.1, edged out freshman Andrew Webster for tenth place, 21:25.8.

Junior Nick Niggemann took twelveth place with a time of 21:45.7 and was followed by freshman Colton Wooldridge at 21:46.1.  Junior Andrew Webb finished the scoring for Southern with a 15th place finish with a time of 23:51.8.

Missouri Southern will hit the course again on Sept. 17 as they host the Missouri Southern Stampede.
