Men's Cross Country finishes 4th at NCAA D-II South Central Regional Meet

Wichita Falls, Texas -- The Missouri Southern men's cross country team placed fourth out of 19 teams today at the 2011 NCAA Division II South Central Regional meet, ran in Wichita Falls, Texas. 

The Lions were led by Andrew Webster as he traversed the 10k course in a time of 32:24.20 to place 20th, while Eric Schott and Jake Benton placed 22nd and 24th in times of 32:30.20 and 32:32.10. All three athletes earned All-Region status for the Lions. 

Adrian Todd was 39th with a time of 33:02.00, while Andrew Webb was 56th and Alex Mason and Colton Wooldridge placed 60th and 62nd, respectively. 

Eastern New Mexico won the team title with 53 points, while East Central (Okla.) placed second with 59 points. Central Missouri was third, while Missouri Southern and Northwest Missouri placed fifth. Pittsburg State, Harding, Southwest Baptist, Fort Hays and Emporia State round out the top ten as seven of the top ten teams in the region were from the MIAA.
