Men's Cross Country

Lions finish 16th/28 teams at Oklahoma State Jamboree

Stillwater, Okla. -- The Missouri Southern men's cross country team placed 16th out of 28 teams today at the 75th annual Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater. 

The Lions were sixth amongst Division II teams within the University Division that included mostly Division I schools. Host Oklahoma State won the event while Pittsburg State was 13th, Southwest Baptist was 21st,  and Abiline Christian and Drury were 24th and 25th, respectively. The Lions defeated three Division I schools in North Texas, Texas Christian and Oral Roberts. 

Leading the way for the Lions was freshman Eric Schott finished the 8k course with a time 25:40.51, good for 90th overall. Andrew Webster finished in 25:49.55, while Jake Benton raced to a 25:59.31 finish. Colton Wooldridge finished in 26:29.61 and Trey Berry finished with a time fo 26:35.45. Nick Niggemann and Adrian Todd finished with times of 26:50.16 and 27:03.89, respectively. 

The Lions will be back in action next weekend when Southern travels to Missouri S&T for the Jackling Jocks Invite.
