Emporia, Kan. -- The Missouri Southern men's
track and field team had a good tune-up for the 2010 Outdoor
Nationals, competing at the Emporia State Last Chance
Saturday.
Corey
Reynolds placed second in the high jump with a provisional
height of 6-8.75, while Chris Brown
was fifth in the event.
Jordan
Patton was fourth in the 100 meters with a time of 10.93, while
Kevin
Wright was third in the 400m hurdles and fourth in the 110m
hurdles.
The Lions 4x100 meter relay team of Maurlon
Bembry, Patton, Jacob Khan
and Kevin Wright placed second with a time of 41.48, just three one
hundredths of a second behind the first-place team.
Michael
Juergens was third in the pole vault with a height of 15-5.75,
while Taylor
McClelland and Jerry Jones
placed fifth in the long jump and triple jump,
respectively.
Seth
Hackney was fourth in the shot put while James
Coleman placed ninth and Coleman placed fourth in the
discus.
The Lions will be back in action on May 27-28 as they compete in
the 2010 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships in
Charlotte, North Carolina.
