Albuquerque, NM -- Brennan Benkert picked up another All-American honor today as the senior placed seventh in the mile at the 2010 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. 

Benkert finished third in the prelims, and ran a time of 4:12.05 to place seventh in the finals today. He adds this honor to go along with the second place finish as the anchor for the distance medley relay team last night. 

The Lions, as a team, finished in 14th place overall with ten points. 

Southern will now have a week off before competing in the first outdoor meet of the season at the PSU Wendy's Invitational on March 27.
