Prior To Southern
Walden transfers to Missouri Southern after competing her freshman season at Colorado Christian University. During her time at Colorado Christian, Walden played in 38 games, making 25 starts in 2026. She recorded a .283 batting average and a .696 on-base plus slugging percentage (.356 OB%, .340 SLG%). In 53 at-bats, she scored 23 runs, had 15 hits, including three doubles, contributed seven RBI and successfully stole 10 bases.

Prior to college, she enjoyed a standout prep career at Olathe North High School under coach Bree Ederer. A three-year varsity shortstop, she finished her high school career with a .474 batting average, 129 hits and 58 stolen bases while setting school single-season records for both hits and stolen bases. Walden earned First Team All-Sunflower League honors in 2024 and Second Team recognition in 2025. She was named First Team All-State in 2024, earned Second Team All-State honors in 2025, was selected to the All-Olathe Second Team and finished as a MOKAN Offensive Player of the Year finalist. Walden helped lead Olathe North HS to the 2024 Sunflower League championship.

Personal
Abbie, the daughter of Zach and Kaycee Walden, is pursuing a degree in Kinesiology at Southern. Following graduation, she plans to become a pediatric nurse and maybe one day help coach a softball team.
